Types of Appointments

Not all physicians offer all appointment types.

Office Visit: This type of visit includes seeing a physician for an illness, managing a chronic condition (high blood pressure, diabetes, etc…),  injuries (not employment-related) and issues of an acute nature.

Medication Check: This visit type is as it sounds, a visit to discuss the status of a long-term medication the patient is taking.

Well Child Visit: This visit type is reserved for milestone child visits only.  Any other reason should use a different visit type. If your child is turning 1 year old, 4 years old, or 11 years old, please schedule after their birthday to ensure vaccines can be provided.

Annual Visits/Sports Physicals: These visits are meant for your (or your child’s) yearly physical with your primary care physician and if you’re a woman, it may also include an additional gynecological exam. Some insurance companies require that these be scheduled 1 year and 1 day apart, check with your plan for the requirements for you.

Same Day Visit: This is a visit to be seen the same day with a physician, typically the day the physician is on call. Appointments are visible after 12 a.m. on the same day. This is reserved for sudden acute issues like illness or injury, not chronic issues or medication checks.

Workman’s Compensation/Employment: Anything related to an employment issue, including pre-employment screenings and testing, cannot be scheduled using the online tool. Please call your clinic location to schedule.

New Pregnancy with OB/GYN: These should be scheduled if the patient is greater than 8 weeks pregnant.
